Louis Vuitton
No one could ever have imagined the famous, super chic blog- ger Chiara Ferragni sitting at Familia and eating moussaka! But we saw this too, when Louis Vuitton had organized a five-day event of global interest. The fashion house had invited 80 of the most prominent journalists from all over the world to the official opening, along with many It Girls, including Langley and Dree Hemingway, but also Claire Courtin, presently one of the most talked about people in Paris. Wishing to underline the simplicity of the house itself and the islands, the first “item” on the agenda was a visit to Familia, where the famous journalists tried all the tradi- tional Greek dishes, from fish and rooster to original moussaka. This was followed by an interesting boat ride to Delos and Rinia, where everyone was impressed, particu- larly by the myth of the birth of Apollo and Artemis on the former, which explains its sacred status that meant no one should be allowed to give birth on the island and, since it was the birthplace of immortals, no mortal should be allowed to die there. On the second day, the guests enjoyed the most exclusive treatment, for apart from the private tour they were given every day, even Psarou beach in front of Nammos was specially adorned with Louis Vuitton towels. On the Friday, there was a cocktail party at the boutique that had originally began as a pop up store but on account of its huge commercial success was soon converted into a resort store, now home to the resort collection items. The following day, a private sunset party was organized be- side the busy swimming pool of Cavo Tagoo, with sets by Alexandros Christopoulos, while the rest of the evening was spent dancing at Jackie O’. On Sunday it was time for the farewell party at the Belvedere, where all the guests were staying. The elegance that distinguishes both the fashion house and Greece will remain a cherished memo- ry for them. That year at the Louis Vuitton resort store, you could also find the Never-full V Mykonos bag, which was specially designed for the island.
