Given that the Hellenic Ministry of Culture officially declared 2020 as the Melina Merkour i Year, and thanks to the gracious contribution o f the Le Soleil Foundation President and CEO, Ms Ada Iliopoulou, Mr Pantelis Kontogiannis, the main character of the Greek-American Hollywood film “First Line”, stated present at the fashion show of Prince Eroto kritos, which took place at Zappeion Megaro. Mr Kontogiannis  wore a silk radzmir suit by the fashion house, bearing a digital print showing the missing Parthenon marbles; a collector’s item with a clear statement for the repatriation of the marbles. Prince Erotokritos himself designed this fabric, and the suit is part of a limited edition collection with a numbered series of suits, which are already available abroad.

The famous American actor is of Greek descent. He worked as  an attorney but left his career in Wall Street to dedicate himself into actions in favor of Greece. The film “First Line” was based on the actual research made by the law firm where Amal Alamuddin-Clooney  works, on the repatriation of the Parthenon marbles, an effort that mobilized intensely Melina Merkouri, during her times. The moment Pantelis Kontogiannis sets foot in the show runway, the voice of Melina is heard on stage talking on culture as the inalienable heritage of Greece and that very moment everything falls into place.

In 2019, the film “First Line” which deals with the repatriation of the Parthenon marbles was among the best films on Netflix regarding legal affairs.

Personalities from different walks of life, such as the well known swimmer Charalambos Papanikolaou, George Manikas, Dimitris Alexandrou, Stelios Kritikos from the Survivor reality show but also the Duo Violins (Dimitris Issaris and George Gaitanos) with their electric violins, invested Prince Erotokritos’ collection with their own energy, bringing a different character to the stage! The famous Greek actor, Stratos Tzortzoglou, who has worked from time to time with Catherine Deneuve, Irene Papas and other leading figures of the international star system, was the man of the year . 

All of them are dynamic attractive men, each one having set his own sail to travel in life. Nonetheless, when you are a traveler, you are always destined to somehow return to Greece.
