Ms Ada Iliopoulou, President, founder and CEO of Le Soleil foundation received an award by the President of the Euro-American Women’s Council, Ms Loula Loi-Alafogianni at the Museum of the Acropolis.
The award honors her contribution to the promotion of the Hellenic civilization abroad and her cultural work with regard to projects supporting Greece and its civilization, involving world-renowned fashion houses, such as Jitrois, Chantal Thomass, Escada, Miyake, Schiaparelli, Ziad Nakad, Stephane Rolland, Franck Sorbier, Gaspard Yurkievich and many others.
They also honors her for the show of the Greek fashion house Laskaris that she organized during the Paris Fashion Week, when for the first time ever the show soundtrack included Greek music, with songs by Psarantonis (Antonis Ksilouris), Livadas, Tsaligopoulou but also Orphic hymns performed with the use of ancient musical instruments.
The award entitled “Visionary uniting fashion with society” was presented to her by the Attica Regional Governor, Mr Georgios Patoulis and his dynamic wife, Ms Marina Patouli.
Following the honorary award ceremony, Ms Ada Iliopoulou became an executive member of the Board of Directors of the EAWC, which boasts a select membership including brilliant ladies with leading roles in society, such as Ms Carolyn Maloney, who promotes the Greek issues within the US Congress.
